For our June 24th Event
The theme is CONFESSIONS

Send us your stories and poems of the bad things you've done, thought about doing, or imagined others doing!

We accept prose, poetry, and creative nonfiction of up to 2,000 words.
HOCUS welcomes literary fiction and poetry submissions from everyone regardless of race, class, gender, sexuality, geography, religious or cultural background. Our programming is in English. We especially invite Black, Indigenous, and other people of color to take part. We recognize all genders.

The reading will be on Friday, June 24th from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. at the Rose City Book Pub in NE Portland and chosen readers are responsible for getting themselves to the venue. Please be aware that the Book Pub is currently requiring proof of vaccination. We are keeping in COVID-related restrictions in mind and will update accordingly in order to have the safest event possible, with the an online event one of the options should circumstances require it. Submissions close June 1st, 2022.
