Send us your stories and poems of eternal sunshine, pagan rituals, and passing from one state to another with no turning back!
We accept prose, poetry, and creative nonfiction of up to 2,000 words. HOCUS welcomes literary fiction and poetry submissions from everyone regardless of race, class, gender, sexuality, geography, religious or cultural background. Our programming is in English. We especially invite Black, Indigenous, and other people of color to take part. We recognize all genders. The reading will be on Friday, June 23rd from 8:30 - 10:00 p.m. at the Rose City Book Pub in NE Portland and chosen readers are responsible for getting themselves to the venue. We are keeping in COVID-related restrictions in mind and will update accordingly in order to have the safest event possible, with the an online event one of the options should circumstances require it.
